Cross-Canada Voting Begins for Tuned-In Canada: The CCSA Awards

QUISPAMSIS (NB), March 18, 2021 - The Canadian Communication Systems Alliance (CCSA) is pleased to announce nationwide voting is now open for the 2021 edition of Tuned-In Canada: The CCSA Awards, a long-standing annual CCSA initiative which celebrates the contributions CCSA-Member independent communications companies make to their communities and for their customers.

Canadians are invited to visit www.tunedincanada.com/vote/ to cast a vote for nominees in the following three contest categories:

  1. Best people: on-camera community channel personality
  2. Best story: giving back
  3. Best photo: connecting Canadians

Voting takes place using SMS authentication and Canadians can cast their votes until April 1st.  The winners will be announced on April 12th and each will receive $1000 to donate to a local charity or organization of their choice.

“We’re pleased to be back with Tuned-In Canada for 2021, after a short hiatus last year,” says Jay Thomson, CEO of CCSA. “Our Members really went above and beyond in the past 12 months, and this is certainly reflected in this year’s shortlist. We can’t wait to see who brings home the win!”

Judges Matt Polka (President and CEO of ACA Connects - America’s Communications Association), Suzanne Lamarre (Lawyer at Therrien Couture and former CRTC Commissioner), Greg O’Brien (Editor and publisher of CARTT.CA), and newcomer judge Greg Hemmings (Founder and CEO of New Brunswick-based Hemmings House Pictures) recently shortlisted the twelve finalists from a field of nominations submitted by CCSA Member companies and their customers.

“We hope Canada will embrace their local nominees and bring out the vote,” said Thomson. “It’s going to be an exciting two weeks, so stay tuned.”
