Communications Providers Congratulate Government on New Panel
Quispamsis (NB), July 5, 2018 - The Canadian Communication Systems Alliance (CCSA) congratulates the government for the creation and appointment of a panel of experts that will consider how to redraft the laws that govern the country’s broadcasting and telecommunications industries. The panel will be chaired by Janet Yale, former executive vice-president at Telus Corp. and former President and CEO of the Canadian Cable Television Association. Panelists include well-known and respected communications lawyers Hank Intven, Peter Grant and Monica Song.
“The CCSA is pleased that the government has selected panelists with such depth of knowledge and experience in both industries,” said Jay Thomson CEO of the CCSA. “We look forward to participating in the process to ensure that Canadians will continue to benefit from the level of customer service, choice and competition in Internet, television and telephone services provided by Canada’s smaller, independent communications providers.”
